‘Not at all’: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa dismisses rumours about his resignation | India News

NEW DELHI: Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday dismissed rumours about his resignation.
“Not at all,” said the Karnataka CM, who is in Delhi, when asked if he has resigned.
“Yesterday I met the PM, we discussed the development of the state and I will come back again in August. There is no value of such news,” Yediyurappa said.
“I’ll speak to Rajnath Singh ji, Amit Shah ji, JP Nadda ji and also meet the water resources minister to get permission for the Mekedatu project,” the Karnataka CM added.
Yediyurappa had met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi on Friday after taking a chartered flight with some family members from Bengaluru. The two spoke for half an hour amid a buzz about cabinet changes.
Yediyurappa, who has faced frequent speculation about his time in office, laughed off the talk of a leadership change. “I don’t know of any rumour about leadership change. You tell me,” he told reporters after the meeting with Modi.
According to some BJP insiders, Yediyurappa wants to rejig his cabinet by dropping a few senior ministers and bringing in fresh blood, like Modi did recently. He went to Delhi to get the go-ahead.
